i. Sustainability Champion Award
This prestigious award recognizes an exceptional CEO who has made a transformative impact on sustainability within her organization and the broader industry.
ii. Outstanding Sustainability Practices Award
This award honors several CEOs who have implemented exemplary sustainability practices within their companies. These practices demonstrate a strong commitment to ESG principles and serve as a model for others.
iii. Top 100 Influential CEOs in Sustainability
This category recognizes a broader group of 100 influential CEOs who are shaping the sustainability landscape in the Asia region. These leaders are driving change through their vision, leadership, and commitment to a sustainable future
Why Asia Pacific SustNET Awards?
This program honors and celebrates the outstanding achievements of CEOs who are leading the charge in sustainability across the Asia Pacific region. The program recognizes their leadership, commitment, and innovation in driving positive environmental and social impact.

Focus on Asia: SustNET's mission specifically target sustainability and/or leaders in Asian businesses. The Asia Pacific SustNET Award directly supports this mission by recognizing outstanding CEOs driving positive change in Asian companies.

Regional Expertise: SustNET have a strong network within Asian countries, including organizations and individuals passionate about sustainability and gender equality in business. This network would be invaluable in organizing and promoting the award program.

Reputation for Excellence: SustNET organised the Malaysia GPM Sustainability Awards since 2018 for its work in sustainability assessment , training and competency certificates with international accreditation body, such as GPM Global, City and Guild, ISOs, JAKIM, Department of Skills and Standards, and the Malaysian Education institutions.
Who Can Apply?
The award would be open to CEOs leading companies headquartered or with a significant presence in Asian countries. This likely includes countries in:

Southeast Asia (Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, etc.)

The Asia Pacific SustNET Award, keeping in mind that CEOs can lead various organizations, including NGOs, non-profits, and SMEs.
The different titles that such leadership roles might have:

Chief Executive Officer (CEO): This is the highest-ranking executive in a company and is responsible for the overall strategy and operations of the organization.

President: This title can be used interchangeably with CEO, or it may refer to the second-highest ranking executive. In government, the President is the head of state.

Executive Director: This is a common title for the leader of a non-profit organization or NGO.

Director: This is a more general term for someone who is on the board of directors of an organization and has a leadership role in setting its direction.

Manager: Managers oversee specific departments or teams within an organization.
The specific title will vary depending on the size and structure of the organization. But regardless of the title, anyone who holds a leadership role is responsible for providing direction, making decisions, and motivating others to achieve the organization's goals.
Eligibility:

Gender: Open to all CEOs leading organizations in the Asia region.

Organization Type: Applicable to CEOs of companies (large and small), NGOs, non-profit organizations, social enterprises, government-linked companies, associations, and SMEs.

Operational History: Minimum of one year of operation for the organization led by the CEO.

Application Process: Applications are submitted through SustNET networks and partners, using a dedicated Google form.
Assessment Criteria:

Visionary Leadership: Demonstrates a clear vision for the organization and a commitment to long-term success that is not solely focused on short-term profits.

Innovation: Implements innovative strategies and approaches to drive organizational growth and contribute to a sustainable future.

Sustainability Focus: Has a strong commitment to sustainability practices as evidenced by the organization's Sustainability Statement, which can be found on the website or social media platforms.

Measurable Impact: Demonstrates measurable positive impact on the organization, the community, and potentially the environment through their leadership.
Selection Process:

Award applications are likely reviewed by a panel of Assessors from SustNET or relevant industry experts.

The judges may consider additional factors beyond the core criteria, such as the specific challenges faced by the organization and the CEO's ability to overcome them.

Shortlisted candidates may be required to provide further information or participate in an interview.

Asia Pacific SustNET Awards - Application Terms and Conditions
Eligibility

The Asia Pacific SustNET Awards are open to CEOs leading for-profit companies headquartered or with a significant presence in the Asia region.

Nominees must be the current CEO of their company at the time of application.

There is no minimum company size requirement, but applicants should demonstrate a strong track record of leadership and business success.
Submission Guidelines

All applications must be submitted electronically through the designated google form.

Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Applications must be submitted in English.

Supporting documents should be uploaded in PDF or image formats (JPG, PNG). Videos can be submitted through links to platforms like YouTube or Vimeo.

Closing date for applications is 30th November 2024.
Selection Process

Applications will be reviewed by a distinguished panel of Assessors with expertise in business leadership, sustainability, and gender equality.

The selection process will be based on the information provided in the application form, supporting documents, and any additional materials submitted.

Shortlisted candidates may be contacted for further information or an interview.

The judges' decision is final and binding.

Application Fee is USD300 per Award. An invoice will be given in Ringgit Malaysia RM1,500 for Malaysian and US Dollar 300 for other country,
Award and Certificate Giving Ceremony
The Awards and certificate giving ceremony will be held to celebrate your achievements! The ceremony will take place during the month of January 2025.
Invitation and Confirmation
You will receive a formal invitation letter via email in the coming weeks. This letter will include all the details about the ceremony, such as the date, time, and venue.
Preparing for the Award and Certificate-Giving Ceremony
To ensure a smooth ceremony process, we kindly ask you to:
